Photoshoots 101!
Photoshoots 101!
As most of you probably already know, if you read our 2-year update, that we were unable
to finish this photo shoot due to a small accident (no one was injured, at least not any worse
than large scrapes and bruises). Nevertheless, all of these concepts still apply there are just
fewer photos to show you, but we still had fun.

A little under two years ago we did a clowny photoshoot, last year we did another
photoshoot but we wanted to bring you along with us so you know both why we do
photoshoots and some more specifics on the how.

If you have not already, you can watch the parts of our day that we vlogged.
Where?
As we said in our last post about photoshoots you can do a photo shoot almost anywhere.
We like to choose parks that are within 30 min of our house that have a variety of backdrops
that we can use. Some things that we like are playgrounds, trees, fields, train tracks, water
fetcher. The list could go on and on. For this photoshoot, we have chosen two parks that are
about 10 min from each other. They both have different things that we think will make great
photos. Some of these things are a waterfall, ponds, a tunnel, a beach, and playgrounds.

One thing we recommend is that at least one person in your group knows where you are
going for your photo shoot so that you can have an idea of what kind of shoots you will be
able to get. Then you can also use your time wisely well at your location.

When it comes to a location it is a good idea to choose a place that is not heavily crowded
so that you can get plenty of shots with our photobombs.

We have a ruing list of places that would make great backgrounds for a photoshoot. We are
lucky to have 15+ places within 30 min of us that have great backgrounds so we won't have
to repeat parks for a long time.

What?
When it comes to a photo shoot you want to be prepared. This would both be in the category
of what you are going to bring but also with what shoots you are going to want to take.
of what you are going to bring but also with what shoots you are going to want to take.
When it comes to what to bring we recommend at least one water bottle and one Gatorade
per person and a straw. Also, have some bars or other snacks for the car ride home. You are
probably wearing more clothing than you normally would be, so make sure that you are
hydrated on during your photo shoot.

Other things to bring to a photo shoot that you don’t eat or drink are props. We knew that we
wanted a shoot in the sand of the beach so we made sure to have metal sand pails. You can
also bring other props like bags, umbrellas, blankets, etc.

Not only should you plan what you are bring, but what you want to bring home, or the shots
you want to take. If you have not already heard Something Silly Clowns is growing so we
knew that we need all new photos. We are looking to take 7-10 individual photos, and pair
photos(Cupcake and Dizzy, Dizzy and Storm, and Cupcake and Storm). We also want 10-15
photos of all three of us.

We both know the parks we are going to quiet well so we have come up with a short list of
specific places that we want to shoot photos.

Other Info
Lastly, this is our 3rd photoshoot and here are some things we think you should know.
Have a photographer. This does not have to be anything fancy, a parent with a camera will
work.
work.
Also, have fun. The photos come out way better if you just be you(or your clown) and let loose.
