If you think that we pull all of our ideas out of our own imagination, that’s not quiet true. We do pull some of our ideas out of our heads but we also have some tricks up our sleeves. When we started writing our own material we never knew where to get ideas for writing our own scripts so we wanted to help you out by giving you some of the resources and tips we use when writing our own script. One of the first and most common things that we do when we get stuck, or need to just come up with more ideas is to go online and use or rewrite an online freebie. They are free, you don’t have to pay for them, and they often have great ideas. You either take these skits and use them as they are or tweak them slightly (just to make sure that they properly fit your characters), or you can completely rewrite them so that they have the right number of parts and work well with your audience. In today’s blog post we want to talk to you about some of the very first steps to becoming a clown. By trying to help you figure out your Name, your Character, and your Voice. (We have created a worksheet to help you out. You can download it and go through it as we explain each part.) Something Silly Clowns has turned one and to celebrate we are going to recap the last year of ups and downs, good times and bad, comments that made us laugh and so much more. We are going to go over what we were thinking at the beginning of last year as it relates to now. We also want to make a list of things we may want to do in the coming year.
